Part One – Summer – Page 016
I remember the first time I helped carry an injured guy home… Okay, I really don’t. As much as I like to wax nostalgic each week, Ben has officially ventured into territory that I’m not familiar with. Although I do still recall just how amazing it felt to have any physical contact with another guy. By the time I figured out I was gay, I made sure to keep my hands to myself as much as possible, lest anyone figure out the truth. When circumstances forced me to touch another guy regardless, it was pretty jarring, exciting, confusing… Maybe that’s normal reaction at that age, back when getting intimate with another person was the biggest urge and the least likely outcome. Still, it sure made something as simple as holding hands feel magical. Do you remember feeling that way?
