This is an important lesson to learn, not just for gay folks, but for people in general. As long as you’re not hurting anyone, why should anyone else begrudge whatever it is you need to be happy? In my experience, it’s the unhappy people who try to drag everyone else down with them. Mostly by being negative. If they would focus all that energy on making themselves happy instead, the world would be a beautiful place!
