Most people, before coming out, need time to come to grips with everything. It’s a long process that can take years, if not decades. Despite that, we want other people to accept us instantly. Of course we do. We’re putting ourselves in a position of vulnerability when coming out. We have to remember how long the process took us though, and give others a little leeway. People might not react how we like, or say what we need to hear, but as long as they show their support in some way, there is hope. Greg bounced back quickly, all things considered. He’s a good guy. 🙂
